We recommend that you contact your insurance company prior to your appointment in order to clarify your deductible, co-payment, and coverage for an office visit and manipulative treatment. Please note: Any amount not covered by insurance for whatever reason may be owed by the patient to Bellingham Osteopathic Center. It can take 3-10 weeks for us to hear back from your insurance. Co-payments need to be paid at the time of service. There are some insurance companies that will not pay for types of treatment modalities if they are performed on the same day, for example, physical therapy or therapeutic massage. We urge you not to schedule other appointments of this type on the same day as your appointment at our office.
If your injury is the result of a motor vehicle accident, we will need you to bring your own motor vehicle insurance information to your first appointment as well as your claim number and contact information for the claim.
We welcome cash, check and all major credit cards for those patients who do not have insurance or have such a high deductible that it makes more financial sense to pay cash rather than initiate insurance billing. THIS DECISION NEEDS TO BE MADE AT THE TIME OF YOUR INITIAL APPOINTMENT, AS OUR OFFICE CANNOT OFFER A CASH PAYMENT OPTION FOR ANY TREATMENTS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN BILLED WITH AN INSURANCE COMPANY. Our cash rates are determined by the complexity of your medical situation, modalities utilized and time spent for consultation and treatment. Rates are also adjusted according to age for infants and children.
We welcome our Northern neighbors to receive treatment at our medical practice. Although we can’t process Canadian medical plans, we do accept all credit cards and American currency. Please call if you have questions about our rates and fees.
